Psalm 103 | The Fuel for True Worship (Part 2)

Jul 20, 2025    Pastor Karel Castro

In Part 2 of our study through Psalm 103, Pastor Karel Castro continues to examine what fuels true worship—not emotion or environment, but a clear understanding of who God is.

In the previous message, we focused on the LORD’s steadfast love. In this sermon, we turn to three more attributes of God that stir the soul to worship Him in spirit and truth:

2    The LORD is Compassionate – Like a faithful father, God responds to our weakness with tender mercy.

3    The LORD is Patient – He is slow to anger, enduring our failures and inviting us to repentance.

4    The LORD is Merciful – He does not deal with us according to our sins, but removes our transgressions beyond measure.

David reflects not only on God's personal work in his life but also on God's covenant faithfulness to His people throughout history. His aim is clear: to preach to his soul and anchor worship in God's unchanging character.
